The white almond shaped object is the amygdala. You can see the flow of information from the limbic system and different parts of the brain going into and out of it.
Limbic system is the primitive brain, responsible for survival through three main aspects: fight (anger), sex (reproduction), and self preservation (food and safety)
Amygdala is basically the thermostat of the brain to assess the information received from other parts of the brain and classifying them as anxiety provoking or not, and wether to Initiate the fight or flight response or not.
Fight (Anger): In the top left is an angry woman after hours of crying that her eyes and face turned red, contemplating plans for revenge and bringing hell on earth, reaching for the frontal lobe and prefrontal cortex for the best plans. The message came back from the frontal lobe in the form of a poem in Arabic (written by myself) that translates to: Between the folds of your miserable memory...I placed the sorrowful anger and revenge...and from the balance of the earth and the justice of the sky...remember...you get what you deserve. Best revenge is no revenge!
Sex (reproduction) is in the bottom right corner.
Self preservation: in the top right corner represented by the grapevine, the dead with an agony look, and the pear branch... life to death to life...the hand and foot is a representation of flexibility and youth.
The blue area is the hippocampus. Faded memories represented by the silhouette and a poem written in mores code that reads “Petals torn from faded roses, memories stored in jars, photographs with different poses, to worship from afar”. Multiple symbols of significance from different cultures are drawn across the painting.
